Baan Chang Elephant Park

Baan Chang Elephant Park provides a home and stimulating environment for elephants with the generous support of tourists visiting the park who take advantage of the once-in-a lifetime opportunity to participate in hands on Elephant Training.

The Asian or Asiatic Elephant is also sometimes called the Indian Elephant.  This animal is widely domesticated, and has been used in forestry in South and Southeast Asia for centuries, as beasts of war, and also for ceremonial purposes.

The elephant camp called Baan Chang in Chiang Mai is committed to providing the best possible life for its  Asiatic Elephants.

The location of The Bann Chang Elephant Park was chosen to provide a natural environment and habitat.

Tourist visting Chian Mai can stay overnight at the Bann Chang Elephant Park and participate in the one, two or three day Elephant training course.

One Day Elephant Training Course Outline

Pick up time is 08:30 am at the Guesthouse

Trip to a local market for buy fruit for feeding to elephants. One hour drive to Baan Chang Elephant Park where you will learn, how to be a Mahout (Elephant caretaker). Your tour guide will provide instruction and  information’s about the Elephants  including guidance and for riding your own elephant

You will then be taken back to your guest house in Chiang Mai.

Items to bring: Towel, Cloths, Shampoo, Soap, Camera, Mosquito spray, snack.
